The black light makes the whole table glow. It actually produces a strong carpet of air for the puck to slide on. You can really crank your shots across the table. This table is fast! I somehow managed to spill a little beer on the top of the table and not a single drop leaked down, it just stayed topside bubbling up. If you're looking for an awesome table, this ones for you!
